Relate Worcestershire’s Hardship Bursary Scheme receives a £1000 boost

SAMSUNG DIGITAL CAMERAThe Charitable Trust of leading law firm, Harrison Clark Rickerbys, recently made a donation of £1000 to assist Relate Worcestershire with a Bursary Scheme which allows those who may be vulnerable, underprivileged or experiencing financial hardship, to access their counselling services.

Relate is a charity that offers a variety of vital therapeutic services including counselling for relationships, children and young people, individuals and families, as well as psycho-sexual therapy. In order to make their services accessible to everyone, Relate relies on donations to subsidise the cost of counselling sessions.

Sarah Moore, Chief Executive at Relate Worcestershire, said; “Relate believes that good, strong relationships help people to lead healthy, happy and successful lives which contribute to the strengthening of local communities. Last year we delivered 2,970 counselling sessions, helping individuals, couples and families overcome problems which may otherwise have long lasting effects on their lives. We are very grateful to Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Charitable Trust for their kind donation which will enable more people to access our services.”

Jonathan Brew, Senior Partner and Trustee of Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Charitable Trust, commented; “As a firm we are pleased to support Relate Worcestershire with their Hardship Bursary Scheme and delighted in the fact that our donation will enable the charity to offer subsidised sessions to those who would otherwise be unable to access their services. The counselling provides a safe and confidential setting for people to talk about the issues they are facing. As a family/ divorce lawyer I am personally acutely aware of the needs and benefits that can be provided through counselling to families facing relationship difficulties.”

Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Charitable Trust has to date raised and donated over £186,000 to worthy causes throughout Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. For more information please visit www.hcrlaw.com.
