Peach Fuzz is chosen as the 2024 Pantone colour trend

The romantic hue of Peace Fuzz 13-1023 has been named as the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2024.

The selection of a colour which, according to Pantone, ‘captures our desire to nurture ourselves and other’, follows on from the choice of another fruity choice – Apricot Crush – as the WGSN Colour of the Year.

The executive director of the Pantone Color Institute, Leatrice Eiseman, said: “In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a colour radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless”.

Described as a ‘velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind and body’, Peach Fuzz sits on the spectrum between pink and orange. This ‘poetic’ colour lends itself to application on ‘velvety, quilted and furry textures’ and is ‘luxuriously soothing and soft to the touch’.

Print on Demand wallpaper, home decor and fabric specialist, Spoonflower, which offers designs created by independent artists worldwide, held a competition to find surface pattern designs which encapsulated the essence of Peach Fuzz.
