Painting pebbles craze inspires new outdoor play product

Toy Fair, Olympia, London | 22nd – 24th January 2019 | Upper Hall Stand 325

Play sand, sledge and birdfeeder supplier Deco-Pak is launching a new product exclusively at the 2019 Toy Fair in London.  This new addition to the range comes after requests from retailers and the current trend for ‘rocking’ — painting pebbles with faces, patterns or messages and leaving them for others to find.

Launching exclusively at the 2019 Toy Fair, Deco-Pak’s Rockin’ Pebbles, RRP £2.99, allow anyone to take part in the growing trend for painting pebbles, also known as ‘rocking’.  Rockin’ Pebbles are smooth undecorated pebbles that children and adults can decorate using acrylic paint or permanent markers, applying varnish or nail polish to seal against the elements.  Rockin’ Pebbles come in a 2kg ethically sourced jute bag, a concerted effort against using plastic, which has become such a big issue particularly on the beaches that first inspired the trend.  Packed for retail sale in a FSC cardboard display box ideal for any size shop or for placement by tills.

Other outdoor play products

Deco-Pak is one of the garden industry’s most popular decorative aggregate suppliers, based in Yorkshire where its products are designed and packed.  The new Rockin’ Pebbles will complement the family-run company’s wider premium value educational and fun play offering, including play pit sand, coloured sand, sledges (including one made from recycled plastic) and design-your-own birdhouses and feeders.
