Designed to appeal to consumers who want to care for lawns without using chemicals, Super Smart Lawn Feed is 100% organic and can be applied at any time when grass is actively growing.
At the heart of Super Smart Lawn Feed is a unique new ingredient – a beneficial bacteria called Azospirillum that feeds grass by fixing nitrogen to the roots – exactly where it’s needed. This means that only grass roots are fed, and not weeds, while leaching is minimal. The bacteria also feed by excreting plant hormones, cytokinin and vitamins, directing nutrients straight into root system – and with up to 80 per cent of a grass plant comprising root, the nutrients are delivered precisely where they’re needed.
The clever bacteria work in conjunction with mycorrhizae which can increase the root system of grass by up to 150 times. Unlike most mycorrhizae products which have to be applied to bare soil or used for new sowings, the mycorrhizae in Super Smart Lawn Feed is soluble and can be applied to existing, establishing and new lawns.
A third ingredient, seaweed extract, enhances the process with the availability of micronutrients, leading to dense, green and even growth. What makes Super Smart different from many traditional lawn fertilisers is that it does not use iron to achieve a greening effect, as iron can have a detrimental long-term effect on soil.

How to use Super Smart Lawn Seed:
- Use between February and September, but don’t apply in freezing or drought conditions.
- Mowing the lawn before application will help the feed to achieve better contact with the ground.
- Ideally Super Smart should be applied before rain. If no rain is forecast, the feed can simply be watered-in.
- Packs have a handy inbuilt applicator but the feed can also be applied using a suitable spreader.
- A concentrated lawn feed that only needs to be applied at 10g per square metre.
- Super Smart Lawn Feed can be applied at higher rates of up to 30g per square metre without scorching or harming lawns.
- One box will feed up to 100 square metres.
