LifestyleGarden® invests in new showroom & distribution centre to facilitate UK growth

Having enjoyed a phenomenal start to 2019, which saw sales targets smashed, unprecedented demand from retailers for additional stock due to much higher than expected sales, and all future ordered stock already pre-sold before arrival, LifestyleGarden® is celebrating further growth with the opening of its new showroom and distribution centre. 

 

Located in the heart of Essex, the new LifestyleGarden® showroom offers 14,000 sq ft of outdoor furniture perfection. Previously the home to LifestyleGarden®’s head office and distribution centre, the newly design showroom features two floors of product, enabling the company to showcase its entire portfolio under one roof.

 

The new showroom has already welcomed customers from across the UK, with praise being heaped upon the new design, layout and the way it inspires retailers to better merchandise and display furniture ranges. A number of retailers who have enjoyed a visit to the showroom are now working closely with the LifestyleGarden® team to recreate the look within their own stores – a clear testament to the hard work that the team has undertaken.

 

A further investment has also been commenced to create a new centralised distribution centre. With a new mezzanine floor, the new distribution centre allows storage for an additional 14 containers, taking the full capacity to 70 containers within the UK alone. To support this growth the LifestyleGarden® team has been expanded, with new members recruited within the warehouse and customer service teams.

 

Finally, fully liveried LifestyleGarden® lorries will be introduced to the fleet, shortly hitting the road to help deliver product to garden centres throughout the country.

 

Paul Cohen added: “Demand is far outstripping supply, which is why we are putting in place a number of additional support channels to help us meet this demand. From our new distribution centre, and additional staff, we are also placing early reorder requests with the factory to ensure we are armed with enough stock for the coming season, and the manpower to ensure a smooth process. Our warehouse will be welcoming 2020 stock from September, meaning Christmas 2019 onwards will mark the beginning of a very busy pre-season. It’s an incredibly exciting time for the whole LifestyleGarden® team.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And if that wasn’t enough, the team are busy getting prepped for one of the biggest UK trade events, SOLEX. Taking place on 9th – 11th July at the Birmingham NEC in the heart of the UK, SOLEX is the leading trade event for the garden furniture and outdoor living sector. The official launch event for both the new-for-2020 season Eden Project and DuraOcean® ranges, LifestyleGarden® will be opening the event with a special press reception, which will include representatives from the Eden Project, who will be sharing details on how the charity and conservation team are showcasing the Eden ranges and DuraOcean® throughout its summer exhibitions and beyond.
