Two Pennies Money Advice provides a free, independent and confidential face-to-face money advice service for the County of Worcestershire, from accredited Members of the Institute of Money Advisers and Approved Intermediaries for Debt Relief Orders.

Seeking to help the most disadvantaged people deal with the demoralising and stressful effects of debt, Two Pennies Money Advice aims to transform lives by helping clients regain control of their own finances. Their services not only deal with the immediate problem, but also get clients back on their feet by helping them to produce a budget and then learn to live within it.

Karen McConnell, General Manager at Two Pennies Money Advice, said; “As a charity we are reliant on donations and demand for our services in Worcester remains high. This means that our resources are stretched to the limit and that desperate people may have to wait longer for the urgent help which they require. Sometimes this is to prevent their homes being repossessed and sometimes just to find a way of managing their money so that they can provide the basic essentials for their families.”

Karen continued; “Last year we were able to advise seventy five clients in Worcester and this is thanks to kind donations such as this from Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Charitable Trust, which will allow us to begin the process of assisting sixteen new clients who need our services.”

Jonathan Brew, Senior Partner at Harrison Clark Rickerbys and Trustee of Harrison Clark Rickerbys Charitable Trust, commented; “In today’s challenging economic climate we feel that it is particularly important to support Two Pennies Money Advice, which in turn provides a valuable advice service assisting individuals in learning how to manage their finances. This valuable assistance allows them to move forward with their lives. With our head office in Worcester, we are pleased to help give back to the community within which we operate.”

Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Charitable Trust has to date raised and donated over £186,000 to local causes within the Three Counties. For more information please visit www.hcrlaw.com.
