It’s Deco-Pak but not as we know it!

Deco-Pak confirms new direction for 2020 season as next generation takes over the business

As one of the most recognisable decorative aggregate and garden accessory brands, the market has come to expect big things from the company when it exhibits at Glee (10th – 12th September, NEC Birmingham). This year is no different, however Deco-Pak’s Director, Craig Hall, confirms that this year they’ll be doing things a little differently!

As always Deco-Pak will be showcasing its market leading product offering which includes decorative aggregates, paving and patio solutions, DIY and building products, plus a popular range of horticultural sands and gravel including the best-selling Chelsea Garden collection. However, the way in which these products will be displayed will be unlike anything seen before on the Deco-Pak stand, introducing true retail theatre.

Retail Theatre demonstrates how decorative aggregates can take centre stage

This year the Deco-Pak stand will be divided into a number of distinct retail theatres – Sustainability, Zen & Wellness, Play, and Enhance – each addressing key consumer trends, and utilising a wide range of products to help retailers understand how to better merchandise core decorative aggregates, and also how cross merchandising can help to drive multiple sales. In fact, Deco-Pak believes so strongly in this concept that their displays will feature almost 25% of products sourced from other suppliers. Look out for pots from Woodlodge, play pits from Chad Valley and plants from garden centre retail partners which together will help to ‘create the look’ within potential retailer settings.

Craig explains: “Our aim for Glee, and also the coming season, is to get retailers to look at decorative aggregates with a fresh pair of eyes. For too long, aggregates have been located in the back corner of the store, often a secondary thought when compared with other products. However, we’re making it our mission to bring decorative aggregates to the fore. After all, very few products can boast the same transformative credentials as decorative aggregates. In just one weekend, or even in a few hours, consumers can reinvent their garden space with the help of aggregates, which also offers significant cost savings when compared to large projects such as decking and even patios. It’s this “chance to change your lifestyle” that is driving our strategy for the coming season, and the reason behind our new look for Glee 2019.”
