HWPR Blog – week ending 19/01/08

Starting 2018 with a bang!

Happy New Year from Team HWPR!   We hope all our clients and industry friends had a great Christmas and New Year!

We’ve started 2018 with a bang with THREE brand new, sparkling clients and we are so excited!  They are all well-known and respected brands in the garden industry and we are so looking forward to working with them this year and beyond!  Our creative juices are already flowing and we’ve got some cracking campaigns up our sleeves.  We’ll reveal who they are very soon so watch this space!

It may only be the third week in January but we have also already hit the ground running with our existing clients, nothing is quiet in HWPR land!  PR plans are being finalised, forward features are being collated and social media calendars are being put in place. We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store!

Activity is being ramped up for the first two industry events of the year – Spring Fair and the Garden Press Event which both take place next month.  Spring Fair hosts the inaugural Glee concession in Hall 3 which will give retailers and buyers the opportunity to see the new and best-selling ranges ahead of the spring season and refresh ranges ahead of the September show.   Visitors will be able to see the latest trends in Landscaping and Garden Decoration, Garden Care and Outdoor Entertaining, as well as Spring Fair’s other sectors ranging from Christmas to Toys to DIY to Jewellery.  In fact, if you walk up and down every aisle in every hall, you’d cover 66 miles…..fun fact!

The Garden Press Event takes place at the end of February and has moved to a new venue, the light and airy Business Design Centre in London.  This is the go-to industry event if you want to get your products in front of the top garden media professionals.  We have a number of clients exhibiting, so we have been busy bees coming up with stand concepts, press packs and arranging meeting with editors to pitch the latest products.  Our in-house vlogging expert, Robbie, will also be bringing his expert skills with him, grabbing interviews and soundbites from exhibitors and visiting media.

Team HWPR will be at both Glee at Spring Fair and the Garden Press Event so we hope to see you there!

We have also been working on creating a PR buzz around Garden Re-Leaf, the big industry fundraiser for Greenfingers Charity which takes place on March 16.  Kimberley and Robbie are already in training for the 20 mile walk and Cassie will be putting her horticultural prowess into action by doing a 12 hour Plantathon.

But we are eager to hear from other businesses in the industry and what your plans are for Garden Re-Leaf.  We can offer you PR support with template press releases and media lists so you can publicise your fundraising achievements!

You can register your events on the Greenfingers website www.greenfingerscharity.org.uk/gardenreleaf or sign up to the Garden Re-Leaf Walk or Cycle Challenge.
