Burford House Garden Store’s Holly and Mistletoe Auctions has once again been the talk of the town with BBC West Midlands attending the second event with their cameras. A short video was made of the auctions interviewing the auctioneer, manager and visitors at the event. This video was uploaded to the BBC UK News webpage, the BBC News app and their social media channels generating fantastic coverage for Burford House.

The HWPR team has been out and about on the road visiting clients. We travelled to Worcestershire to visit the Johnsons Lawn Seed team. A very successful meeting which included a tour of their facilities, learning how the seed is harvested, mixed and boxed ready for market. We also got a sneak peak at their new refurbished offices which are looking absolutely fantastic and will be a great place for staff and visitors alike. And we some very exciting plans for 2018 so stay tuned!

On the automotive side, our client LUMAG has confirmed its second range expansion in as many months. This latest extension of the BRECK brake friction product range covers 20 different applications with just three-part numbers, which further expands LUMAG’s current catalogue, which now includes 445 part references.
HWPR also attended the IAAF Awards Dinner at the Hilton DoubleTree in Milton Keynes with CAT Magazine. This is the automotive aftermarket’s largest industry event which celebrates the best Distributors and Suppliers in both the car and CV sectors. A fantastic night was had by all, and we would like to extend our thanks to CAT for being amazing hosts as always!
We also saw the first snowfall across the country. For the green-fingered out there, if you haven’t already, now is the time to cover your plants so they are not exposed to snow. That way, you won’t have to worry about the cold or the weight of snow from harming them. Make sure you protect vulnerable plants by wrapping them in horticultural fleece which is widely available in all garden centres. This will see off the cold and wet weather, protect frost and allow your plants to bounce back come spring. If you have potted doors, bring them indoors now either into a greenhouse or to brighten up your home. Keep them away from radiators and vents but close to a window for natural light.
