Leading Three Counties’ Law firm, Harrison Clark Rickerbys, has introduced its Trainee Solicitor Awards this year, identifying those trainees who have made a contribution above and beyond the firm’s expectations.
The firm’s trainees were judged on several criteria including dependability, enthusiasm and excellence in their fields. The quality of Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ trainee solicitor submissions were very high and the partners are pleased to cHarrongratulate Charlotte Avery, Chris Herford, Emme Kent and Rachel Nolloth, who have all been recognised as outstanding trainees.
Each trainee has the chance to work in four different departments during a two year period. The award winners have demonstrated their ability in each seat rotation, as well as their commitment to the paralegal and trainee group, supporting various firm wide and charitable activities and events.
The leading law firm was also delighted to announce the 100% retention of its newly qualified solicitors this September, an increase of 21.8% on the national average retention figure for trainees qualifying into UK law firms in 2013.
Chris Herford, Trainee Solicitor, said; “The Harrison Clark Rickerbys training contract programme has been excellent. As trainees we have benefited greatly from the significant levels of responsibility we have been given, which makes the transition from trainee to solicitor that much easier. We are all looking forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success in years to come.”
Robert Capper, Partner and Head of Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Commercial department, said; “We introduced Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ Trainee Solicitor Awards this year as we felt it important to recognise those who have embraced the overall trainee ethos and who have made a contribution to the trainees as a group, as well as to the wider firm. The quality of submissions we received was very impressive and it wasn’t an easy decision to select the winners, but it is clear that these trainees really have excelled in their roles.”
Jonathan Brew, Senior Partner at Harrison Clark Rickerbys, added; “These awards are really important in recognising the excellence of our trainee solicitors, who show great dedication and enthusiasm to their roles. These worthy trainees have received praise from their various principles and we are pleased to be able to recognise this. Many congratulations to them all!”
The new Trainee Solicitor Awards reflect the importance placed on training and retention at the law firm. Accredited as ‘Investors in People’, Harrison Clark Rickerbys also actively participates in the National Apprenticeship scheme and regularly offers work experience placements.
