Thirteen ground-breaking new garden products have been confirmed as the winners of the coveted Glee New Product Awards 2016.
Selected from hundreds of entries showcased at Glee (12th – 14th September, NEC Birmingham), the winning products were chosen by an expert panel of judges, representing independent and multiple retailers and international suppliers.
Entries were submitted into twelve key garden retail categories, comprising:
- Best Retail Services and Experiences Products
- Best Outdoor Entertaining Products
- Best Garden Decoration Products
- Best Home, Gift and Clothing Products
- Best Wildlife and Pets Products
- Best Garden Care – Growing Accessories Products
- Best Garden Care – Chemicals, Fertilisers and Growing Media Products
- Best Plants, Seeds and Bulbs Products
- Best Tools and Machinery Products
- Best Landscaping Products
- Best of British
- Going Green
One further award – the Retailers’ Choice Award – will be announced on Wednesday (14th September) morning at 11:00am. Retailers visiting the Glee New Product display are invited to vote for their favourite product after viewing the entries on display.
Judges considered each entry on a challenging range of criteria, including innovation, design, quality, environmental credentials, pricing and retail potential – resulting in some hot debates and close runners-up in a number of categories. A shortlist was then decided for each category, with the shortlisted suppliers then invited to join the judges in the ‘Pitching Den’.
All entries can be found in a single central located ‘new products hub’ within its new location in Hall 17.
