Glee Buyers Power List 2015: the shortlist

PrintThe inaugural Glee Buyers Power List has been set-up to recognise the individual buyers and buying teams who have gone above and beyond to make a difference within the garden retail industry this year. Launched to the market in May the nominations have been flooding in, and details of those shortlisted have been announced by Glee’s organising team at i2i Events.

Formed of the top nominations in each of the five categories, the shortlist is representative of the leading 50+ buyers and buying teams from retailers across the country. The shortlist is now open to the industry to cast their vote for their top three buyers or teams in each category. These votes will then be counted, with the buyer or team with the most votes being crowned as individual category winners. A ‘winner of winners’ will also be announced during a special Buyers Power List ceremony taking place on Tuesday 15th September, at Glee 2015.

Voting for the top buyer or teams featured in the Glee Buyers Power List shortlist closes on August 28th. Casting your vote couldn’t be easier. Simply log onto www.gleebirmingham.com/Content/Glees-Buyers-Power-List-Vote-for-your-winners to make your vote matter. Voting is open to everyone in the industry.

Talking about the Buyers Power List, Glee’s event director, Matthew Mein said: “This may be the first year in which the Buyers Power List will be part of the wider programme of activities taking place at Glee, but I’ve no doubt it will become an integral part of our planning. The response from the whole industry has been fantastic, with nominations coming in thick and fast. The shortlist showcases the hard work and commitment that each retail buyer or team has undertaken in the last 12 months, and we’re so pleased to be able to provide a platform on which this dedication can be celebrated and rewarded. I look forward to revealing the winners next month at Glee 2015.”
