GIMA Charity Day celebrates its 10th anniversary with the chance to win a car!

As the GIMA Charity Day (6th June, Telford Golf & Hotel Resort) celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2019, it has been confirmed that the annual event will offer even more excitement for participants thanks to a host of new team building and networking opportunities – plus the chance to win a brand-new car!

Open to both teams and individuals, the 2019 event will see the return of the GIMA Golf Trophy competition, which will see four-ball teams compete to win the best score achieved across the beautiful 18-hole course in the heart of Shropshire. Throughout the day there will be a number of additional competitions including Beat the Pro, Nearest the Pin, spot prizes, and new-for-2019, a special Hole in One prize, which will see the possible winners walk away with a brand-new car!

For the non-golfers the fun doesn’t stop thanks to the introduction of the new Crystal Maze Challenge. Bringing the excitement of the classic TV programme to the Lilleshall Cricket Club, participants will have to conquer eight exciting zones, including physical, mental and skill-based trials. Suitable for all abilities, teams will be pitched against each other for a fun-filled day. All contestants will also be able to enter the infamous Crystal Dome to collect as many gold and silver tokens as possible within the allotted time. The winners of which will be unveiled at the evening reception.

If time allows, there will also be a game of Kwik Cricket (and a delicious afternoon tea!) to help round off the afternoon of activities, enabling participants to let off steam before heading back to the Telford Golf and Hotel Resort for an evening of eating, entertainment and a chance to network with friends and colleagues.

This year, the GIMA Charity Day will be raising funds for the Greenfingers Charity, the 2019 chosen charity of GIMA’s President, Richard Pyrah. 100% of the money raised on the day, will be given to the charity, enabling them to build even more beautiful gardens at children’s hospices throughout the UK.

GIMA Director, Vicky Nuttall said: “As the GIMA Charity Day turns 10, it felt right to celebrate in style. We have an action-packed programme for the day that offers something for everyone. Whether you are attending on your own, as part of a team, or bringing customers with you, the day is designed to provide the chance to have fun, network with your peers, or just enjoy a little bit of friendly competition. It’s set to be a brilliant day for all, whilst also raising funds for a wholly deserving charity.”

A number of sponsorship opportunities are available, helping brands to raise their profile within the garden retail sector. Further details about this, including how to book your place at the event, can be found at www.gima.org.uk
