The prestigious GIMA Awards will once again be returning to the Celtic Manor Resort this July, to celebrate excellence in the garden industry.

Following a hugely successful event during 2014, the GIMA council has decided to return to the luxurious surroundings of the Celtic Manor Resort, within the beautiful Usk Valley, South Wales.  This year’s gala dinner will take place on Thursday July 16th, where guests will be wined and dined before the winners of the 2015 awards are revealed.

The judging panel has been hand picked from the cream of UK garden retailing and the garden media, including representatives from The GCA, Homebase, Hilliers, Blue Diamond, Achica, Barton Grange, and Amateur Gardening, with many more expected to be confirmed shortly.  With judging taking place on 1st July at Warwick Racecourse, companies are urged to get their entries in by Friday 19th June.

This year’s event will be supported by headline sponsors who have been confirmed as GIMA official logistics partner FCL Global Forwarding, a multi-modal logistics provider specialising in movement of garden and retail products by sea, air, road and rail and Glee, the UK’s leading annual garden retail exhibition.

Entry for the awards is now open, and has also been made even easier thanks to the newly launched GIMA website (www.gima.org.uk).  The product categories have been refreshed and now include a new category for garden lighting, water features and ornamentation, reflecting its growing importance in garden retailing.  With a total of nine product and three marketing categories there’s opportunity for everyone to enter.

Three additional Special Achievement awards are also up for grabs; Export Achievement – sponsored by Gardenex & Petquip, Supplier of the Year Award – sponsored by The GCA and the coveted Sword of Excellence, meaning winning a GIMA Award can make a real difference to your business.
