GIMA Awards 2016: spotlight on sponsors

FCLGF%2520logoWith the annual GIMA Awards just weeks away, final preparations are now underway. However, the event would be nothing without the support of its sponsors. This year FCL Global – a multi-model logistics provider specialising in moving products for customers by sea, air, road or rail – is celebrating three years as headline sponsors of one of the garden retail industry’s most popular events.

Paul O’Malley, Commercial Director at FCL Global said: “It’s a great honour to be headline sponsor of this fantastic event for the third year running. The garden retail industry is one in which we are closely aligned, and we do all that we can to support the industry and in particular the GIMA members, many of whom are valued partners.  Our continued growth as a business is largely down to our focus on building long-lasting, meaningful and sustainable relationships. We have demonstrated this through our support of GIMA and Glee over the past few years, and will continue to do so. Our main aim is to help our customers meet their business goals and by supporting such a prestigious event that brings so many customers and suppliers together we believe we are doing just that.”

Joining FCL Global as headline sponsors in 2016 will be i2i Events Group, organisers of Glee, the UK’s largest annual trade event for the garden and outdoor living industry.

The awards also benefit greatly from the ongoing support of the individual category sponsors. This year the following companies have confirmed their support of the GIMA Awards:

  • Stax Trade Centres
  • Gardenex
  • PetQuip
  • The GCA
  • The HTA
  • Maryanne Stokes
  • Hornby Whitefoot PR
  • Cadix
  • More People
  • Halewood International

GIMA director, Vicky Nuttall, said: “Our thanks go to FCL Global, i2i Events and all our other sponsors. The 2016 GIMA Awards are set to be the biggest yet, and without the ongoing support of our sponsors it wouldn’t be the event it is. These awards are very much about the industry celebrating excellence throughout the last 12 months, and I sincerely look forward to awarding this year’s deserving winners with the accolade of GIMA award winners.”

FCL Global continual commitment to GIMA members

Paul O’Malley from FCL Global added: “We’ve spent a great deal of time getting to grips with the seasonal challenges that companies in the garden retail industry face, particularly those involved in importing from the Far East. We at FCL Global have designed and implemented complete solutions to solve these problems, and ultimately save our customer’s time and money. We are passionate about adding value to our customer’s businesses and would welcome the opportunity to consult with all GIMA members and demonstrate how we can improve their current logistics arrangements & help them to achieve their goals.”
