Forest’s Garden Building range has always been popular with retailers and consumers alike, however the company’s latest shed range updates has taken its market-leading offering to a whole new level. John Gomersall, sales & marketing director at Forest explains all.
“Forest’s new Garden Buildings Collection now feature a completely new range of sheds and workshops, many of which have been redesigned and enhanced with improved build quality and security features such as hidden hinges and unbreakable Polycarbonate Glazing.
“Our shed offering is one area that has benefitted the most from a makeover for 2016. The new range will benefit from a clear product hierarchy, that offers simple trade-up options for the consumer. Retailers will also benefit from this development, as it makes it much easier for them to sell higher value products to increase sales values.”
Forest’s latest shed updates
To create the new shed hierarchy Forest has created four unique collections, which include price relevant designs and features across both shed and workshop designs – Overlap Dip Treated, Overlap Pressure Treated, Shiplap Dip Treated and Premium Tongue & Groove.
All collections feature felted roofs, barge boards, finials, double z-framing and polycarbonate glazing, except the high-end Tongue & Groove collection which benefits from premium acrylic glazing. The mid-range Overlap Pressure-treated and Shiplap Dip Treated ranges have the addition of boarded flooring, whilst the Tongue & Groove designs also exclusively benefit from premium hinges, rimlock, and tongue & groove flooring.
The bestselling Shiplap 6 x 8 Apex design is the only design to feature Onduline® corrugated roofing material, providing an attractive, lightweight and waterproof roof.
Each collection also offers flexibility of roof designs, with both pent and apex designs available. In total 47 different sheds are available as part of Forest’s updated shed range, making it one of the most comprehensive on the market today.
Finally, Forest has added shed bases to its offering, providing easy to fit bases for its most popular shed sizes.
Driving sales with Take Me To The Till
Forest’s full Garden Buildings Collection is supported by its award-winning Take Me To The Till (TMTTT) instore merchandiser. TMTTT has been helping retailers to effectively sell its range of sheds, summerhouses, pergolas, arches and arbours, without dedicating precious extra space on the shop floor since 2013. The concept of the display is simple: it is designed to make the shopping experience more convenient for consumers by providing them with a tangible product to take to the check-out for quick self-service and easy purchase.
Additionally, ‘Take me to the Till’ is an entirely fuss free introduction for retailers, making it easier than ever to optimise sales of Forest products. In fact, of those retailers which have taken TMTTT instore, some are reporting a 300% increase in sales of the home delivered range merchandised on the display unit.
A TMTTT Lite display unit has also been added to Forest’s retailer offering. Designed to be entirely portable, making it the perfect solution when space is at a premium, TMTTT Lite is also designed to help drive sales of promotional and seasonal sales activities. Made from lightweight Correx, the unit will feature Forest Garden’s best-selling product lines, supported by impactful branding and graphics.
