Forest Garden confirms continued relationship with charity partner, Thrive

accessibleLogo_HIForest Garden is pleased to announce that its ongoing partnership with its Accessible Gardening charity partner, Thrive, has been reaffirmed for another year, helping to bring stylish and practical product solutions to those that need to sit, kneel or stand to garden.

Launched at Glee 2012, Forest Garden’s Accessible Gardening range has carved out a niche product proposition within the garden retail market.  Offering a selection of practical timber products, the range has been supported by Thrive since the very beginning.  As a charity that uses gardening to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, Thrive has had a dedicated team of testers on hand to help hone the Accessible Gardening range. In return for this unrivalled support, Forest has been helping the charity to continue its amazing work but donating 2.5% of each product sold to Thrive.

Forest Garden’s marketing manager, Andrew Bendall, said: “I am pleased to be able to confirm that our partnership with Thrive will continue for another year through donations, joint activities and product gifts. The relationship we have with the charity has been pivotal to the development and success of the range.  The ongoing feedback and advice from members, and through testing days, has helped us to create products that genuinely meet the needs of those gardeners with physical limitations.  We are also incredibly pleased to know that our financial contribution will also go a long way in helping Thrive to continue their vital work.”

Andrew’s sentiments are echoed by Kathryn Rossiter, Thrive’s Chief Executive Officer, who said: “We are delighted at how our partnership with Forest Garden continues to develop and look forward to working together in 2016.  We are also pleased that the expertise we provided when Forest developed some of the products has resulted in such good sales and believe that the new point of sale information will help to increase levels of customer interest and understanding of the importance of making gardening as accessible as possible.

“Corporate relationships such as ours with Forest Garden can prove invaluable to charities like Thrive as we continue to look for imaginative ways to raise funds in a challenging financial climate. We are grateful to Forest Garden for all its support and look forward to working with them in 2016 and beyond.”
