Charlecote Garden Store is excited to announce it will be partnering with the Redwings Horse and Donkey Sanctuary to raise vital funds next weekend (Saturday 9th December).
The sanctuary, which is the largest in the UK, will be bringing some of its donkeys to Charlecote Garden Store to raise awareness of the work they do.
Redwings’ is a rescue centre based in Oxhill, which provides a home for abandoned, mistreated and neglected horses and donkeys from across the country, giving them a safe place to live and providing essential veterinary treatment, rehabilitation and lifelong care.
The donkeys will be at Charlecote from 10.30 to 3.30 approximately* and there will be a chance for visiting families to feed and pet the donkeys and any donations will be gratefully received.
Donations from the FREE in-store Christmas grotto this year will also be going to Redwings, as well as Greenfingers, a charity that creates magical gardens for children’s hospices.
Charlecote Garden Store Manager, Jane Lawrence said: “We are delighted the donkeys will be visiting the store, and to be doing all we can to promote the tireless work that Redwings undertake each year.”
Charlecote will also be hosting a local choir on Saturday 16th December at 2pm, with children of Newburgh C of E Primary School in Warwick singing festive carols in-store.
