Jackie Eades, CEO of Briers, has today announced that Carol Paris will be joining the Board as a Non-Executive Director.
Carol was previously Chief Executive at the Horticultural Trades Association before stepping down due to family reasons at the end of April this year. She had worked at the HTA for seven years in a number of roles including Vice-President and President and revitalised the membership services, lobbied government on behalf of the industry and secured new premises for the association in Chilton. Prior to this, she was Operations and Buying Director for Garden & Leisure Group where she worked for 16 years.
Carol’s new role at Briers will see her work on a number of projects including the strengthening of the HR function and revitalising the sales channels and team. She joins Briers at a time of phenomenal growth which has seen their turnover reach nearly £15 million and the launch of a plethora of new products at Glee.
Carol Paris said of her appointment; “Briers is a rapidly growing company with an ambitious business plan. They offer great products and service to the UK and 12 other international countries.
